Sense Poker Overview
Sense Poker is another of the 24hPay series of poker sites, licensed in Malta and a member of the Entraction network. The European-oriented Sense Poker does not currently accept clients from the United States, Malta and oddly Costa Rica, and the site’s official currency is the Euro but they will also accept dollars and certain Scandinavian currencies.
As part of the Entraction network, SensePoker has quite good traffic is acceptable, with upwards of 5000 players online at any given time. Their mission statement is exactly the same as that of all 24hPay sites: “The Company provides different gaming services in cooperation with leading software providers to bring our players the best possible gaming experience.”
Even though the Entraction Network does not allow U.S. players, poker rooms such as Sense Poker, Ace Off Spades Poker and 24h Poker(Entraction) are recuperating fast due to a high influx of European players.
Sense Poker Game Features
Sense Poker offers a great variety of poker games: besides classics such as Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi and Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud Hi and Hi/Lo and Five Card Draw they also have the less common Soko, Deuce to Seven Triple Draw, Telesina and Americana. Ring games are available in various types of limit according to the game and can be played heads up, in short-handed 6-seat tables, or in full size 10-seat tables. Stakes start at €0.02/0.05 (about $0.03/$0.07) and go up all the way to €750/€1500 (about $1000/$2000).
Sense Poker only offers Sit & Gos in Hold’em, Omaha and 5 Card Draw, with the vast majority being Hold’em as is usual in all sites. The Sit & Go buy ins start at €1 (about $1.30) and go up to €1000 (about $1300), with two speed options: blinds go up every 8 minutes in regular Sit & Gos, and every 5 minutes in the Turbo ones.
Sense Poker has tourneys in all of their poker varieties, with buy-ins ranging between €0.25 (about $0.35) and €200 (about $290). Some of the tourney options common to all Entraction sites are rebuy, freezeout, short-handed and turbo, as well as the “Wild West” type which starts as turbo but then becomes regular and has unlimited rebuys.
Sense Poker Software Features
Sense Poker has the same software and look as most Entraction sites: sleek, minimalistic graphics, no avatars, minimal customization options and lots of small text in the lobby. There are options to find players and make player notes, and the hand history can be streamed into a file in your computer for later revision.
The lobby has a filtering option, which is especially useful when trying to find a tourney, since they are all bundled together under a few tabs. A very attractive feature is the Java-based web client, which allows Mac and Linux users (as well as those away from their computer) to play online.
Sense Poker Support
Sense Poker offers support in English, Russian, Swedish and Finnish, provided you are willing to follow their schedules: English and Russian support is available 24 hours a day, while Swedish and Finnish can be reached between 9.00 CET – 21.00 CET. If you want support in those languages outside the specified times, it is recommended that you write in English.
The Sense Poker FAQ is not organized in any way – you will have to scroll to find what you’re looking for. The only other way you can access support is via email: support sends an immediate confirmation mail, followed up by a reasonably swift and accurate response.
