PokerTracker, the popular program that allows users to analyze hand history data for themselves and other players, has released the widely anticipated "PokerTracker 3" version of their software.
The new improved program contains the following:
--a modern new graphical interface
--faster imports, faster stat retrieval, and threading so that you can multitask within PokerTracker
--more stats, more filters, and very scalable so that less databases are needed
--a built in HUD (Heads-up display) for increased performance with your table overlay
For those not familiar with PokerTracker, it is a program in which players can track ring game and tournament play of you and your opponents to help improve your play. Analyzing data from your opponents allows you to play more correctly against them given the data that has been collected. This is especially helpful with "PokerAce," an add-on to PokerTracker, that imports all players' statistics right on to your table in near real time. PokerAce works for both PT Hold'em and PT Omaha.
PokerTracker also allows you to track your starting hands to see how often you see the flop, raise, and win money with each hand and a whole lot more. In addition, you can find leaks in your game by monitoring sessions, positional stats, and your most and least profitable hands. Graphs are available in which players can visually track their play over desired periods of time. This only scratches the surface of what PokerTracker can do.
The cost of PokerTracker 3 is $89.99. Skeptics may try it free for 30 days. For existing users of PokerTracker, they will receive a discount on the purchase price based on the length of time that they have owned PokerTracker. For example, those that have owned it more than a year will receive a discount of 20%. Once downloaded, existing players will need to convert their old databases to new PokerTracker 3 database or reimport the hands, which is the most desirable option since not all statistics will be available on a converted database.
PokerTracker 3 is not currently supported on as many sites as version 2. For more information on this and the many features of PokerTracker, check out the main PokerTracker site.
