Poker Host is part of the Merge Gaming Network and is one of the few sites that it still accepts US players. The player base of this poker room prefers to play No Limit Hold'em tables but the game variety is wide and other games also have tables open.

10 VIP Points are awarded to players for every $1 in contributed rake. Fractional points are also awarded.

Bonus is cleared at a rate of $1 for every 150 VIP Points earned.

Game Features

Poker Host has a wide game selection all the most popular variants and some exotic games are available. The Limit Hold'em tables are up to $50/100 while the Pot Limit and No Limit tables are up to $25/50 with most of the player accumulation at the NL tables.

There are Omaha tables of $30/60 but the higher limit ones lack player traffic. Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, Razz and Five Card Stud are available at 8 player tables with stakes as high as $25/50. The other games you can find at Poker Host are Triple Draw, Five Card Draw and Badugi.

The tournament selection includes SNGs, MTTs, Guaranteed, Freezout, Re-buys, Freerolls, and Turbos. Most of the tournament traffic is at the Freerolls and the higher stake Guaranteed events. You will find unique games such as Blackjack, Roulette, and Caribbean Stud, letting you risk $200-500 at a time. Poker Host also offers Video Poker and Backgammon.

Software Features

Poker Host has nice looking software with great graphics look and an organized lobby with an interactive tab system that facilitates finding the right table for you. Another feature of the software is the option to "Rabbit Hole" the hand so you can show one or both of your cards when you are the last person that folds.

The software consumes a lot of RAM in the computer, which could be troubling for some. When you open more than one table at once it costs around 120 MB but you can customize this at the Settings tab in the lobby. If the system memory runs slower than usual you can disable the animations at the Settings tab.

Player Restrictions

The Merge Network accepts players from around the world including the US, but is currently not accepting new players from the state of Kentucky.

The Merge Network also does not accept players from Australia at the moment.

Players may have multiple accounts on the Merge Gaming Network. However, customer service has informed us that players may only take advantage of one of the site bonuses. The exception to this is if you have been inactive on the Merge Network for at least 60 days.
