Poker Fantasy Overview
Poker Fantasy was launched in September of 2005 as a solely Hold’em and Omaha online card room. In March of 2007, Poker Fantasy underwent drastic improvements in security software and began offering 5 additional card games.
Owned and operated by London based ECM Global Ltd., traffic on Poker Fantasy is far from a top tier Microgaming site. While Poker Fantasy accepts bets from the US, it does not support Canadian or Costa Rican gaming.

Poker Fantasy Game Features
As it states in its mission statement, Poker Fantasy is not full of traffic. Though it offers more obscure games like 32 Card, Amerikana and Telesina as well as the standard Omaha, Hold’em and Stud, the low rate of traffic translates into mostly empty tables.
Though you can usually get a Limit Hold’em game for $1/2 and on occasion can find a PL Omaha table with more than 3 people, you are not going to find much more than that. Certainly you are never going to find any stakes beyond $5/10 Hold’em in a cash game, and if you’re looking for some Amerikana action, your quest is most likely going to continue past your stop at Poker Fantasy.
Despite its low traffic, there are a fair number of sit and go tournaments. Players can usually find a $5-15 buy in table up and running in about ten minutes. The tournaments also run under a variety of chip stacks (from small stack to deep) and table size (from five to ten players).
Poker Fantasy also features a number of bonuses, most notably a 150% sign up bonus up to the first $200. This means that if a player were to deposit $200, they would end up with $500.
The Affiliate system is fairly standard with the only real exception being a 25% rakeback of sorts for all revenue that you personally generate for the site. So if a player goes out and recruits a few friends, that player will receive monetary compensation.
Poker Fantasy Software Features
Fantasy Poker supports your run of the mill lobby so if the player is familiar with online poker rooms, then he will have no problems navigating Poker Fantasy.
Poker Fantasy does pride itself on its security software, incorporated into the site in March of 2007. The so-called “iovation solution” is a multi-layered security system which subjects all online traffic to a number of identity screening processes. Through the Device Reputation Authority and the Account Lock systems, Poker Fantasy is able to establish a very specific user identity or “digital fingerprint”. If suspicious behavior is discovered (i.e. unusual table stakes, gameplay or origin of funds) immediate measures are taken. These measures range from communication with the user to a total freeze out of all digital assets.
Table graphics are passable. While far from the stunning animation of some of the newer sites, the cards are clear, the chip colors are distinguishable from one another and the tables run quickly.

As Poker Fantasy is a smaller site, the customer service tends to be quick and intimate. While any question you have must be directed to any number of 24/7 email addresses, the responses do come within 12 hours and there are no real payout horror stories floating around the internet. Small but safe, Fantasy Poker is worth the download for a group of online players looking to play safely amongst themselves without much bother.
