Kiwi Poker Overview
Kiwi Poker, a part of the Playtech iPoker Network, was born from the Christchurch Casino in New Zealand, and has been around for six years. Loose players are all around this poker room, making it a nice place for any skillful player to make something extra. Kiwi Poker unfortunately does not accept real money players from USA. It is a large room with a lot of action around most of their tables.
Even though the iPoker network does not allow U.S. players, poker rooms such as Titan Poker, Nuts Poker and CD Poker are recuperating fast due to a high influx of European players.
Kiwi Poker Game Features
Kiwi Poker has all the standard poker styles along with a separate section with Beginner’s Tables, No DP (disconnect protection), and Heads Up. The biggest stakes on Kiwi Poker are offered in the Limit Hold’em Heads Up at $300/600, and go all the way down to $.02/.04. NL goes from $.01/.02 up to $100/200, while Limit tops out at $50/100. Pot Limit Omaha and Limit Omaha HiLo high stakes are $200/400.
Seven and Five Card Stud has a very small player turnout, but the Beginners’ Tables have a good number of players with a max stake of $2/4.
SNG’s are fairly popular at Kiwi Poker. Their highest Buy-in is set at $1,000, and can seat up to 10 players at a single table. Players can get into these for as little as $.10 or 400 KA points and can seat up to 50 players depending on the SNG buy-in.
Tournament action at Kiwi Poker is above average and provides a good number of Guaranteed, Freezeout, and Rebuys. Kiwi also offers a load of Casino games for players wanting to try something a little different.
Kiwi Poker Software Features
The software of Kiwi Poker is very nice to look at. Its graphics are very colorful, and the lobby’s tabs are easy to distinguish. They have a quick search option to take players straight to what they are looking for, and the load time is fast.
There are many different options to choose from, but there are not a lot of avatars to suit player personalities. The cards seem a little small on the table, but there is the option of a four-colored deck to help players distinguish their cards.
Kiwi Poker Support
Kiwi Poker offers Email, Toll Free phone numbers, Fax, and Chat for customer service needs. Their response time for Emails is fast, taking less than an hour. There are no FAQ’s, but the website does a good job of offering players many pages on Poker Rules, Etiquette, History, and Strategy.
