Interpoker Overview
InterPoker was released in 2001, managed by Intercasino (the second largest casino in the world) and part of the well-known Cryptologic network. Interpoker is licensed in Malta and caters mainly to European players – they are not currently available to US players. As a spin-off from a casino, there is a lot of soft play in Interpoker, although at higher limits you can expect more serious competition.
Interpoker does not have a very high profile considering how long it’s been around, but aggressive marketing and sponsoring choice pros have made traffic increase considerably since 2005: at any given time you can find 3000 players online or more, which makes for a good variety of active tables. To better cater to a variety of players, Interpoker has tables in US dollars, Sterling and Euro.
This is InterPoker’s Mission statement:
“InterPoker provides a real time, fully immersive online poker room environment from the comfort of your own home. InterPoker is fully accountable for its gaming and business processes and we thank our clients for their respect and patronage. We do our best to deliver state of the art developments, including reliable financial transactions and friendly 24/7 customer support. InterPoker truly is the only choice for the discerning poker player.”
Interpoker is a room on the Cryptologic network, along with other popular online poker rooms such as Playboy Poker, Poker Plex, and Sun Poker.
Interpoker Game Features
Interpoker does not offer more than 3 poker varieties: Hold’em, Omaha (Hi and Hi/Lo) and 7 card Stud. Texas Hold’em is played in No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit; Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo are offered in Pot and Fixed Limits and 7 Card Stud is Fixed Limit only. A plus: InterPoker offers plenty of Texas Hold’em heads-up tables. Another big plus is that you will find big stakes all the way up to £600/£1200 Fixed Limit (about $1200/$2400), or £100/£200 in No Limit (about $200/$400.)
As usual in most poker sites, traffic is concentrated at Hold’em tables, which come with 6 or 10 seats. Heads up tables are also available for all 3 games.
Sit & Gos at InterPoker should satisfy every taste – buy-ins range from $1 to a nosebleed $5000, with heads-up, short-handed or 10-seater options. An extra perk are the “Thunder” tournaments, where players have only 12 seconds to make their move.
Interpoker offers many tournaments, although the lobby is not very easy to navigate. There are freerolls, cheap $1 tourneys, and everything in between those and $300 buy-ins.
The tournaments are usually quite popular at Inter Poker. You will find anything ranging from $2 buy-ins to £200 (about $400), with the vast majority of those being No Limit Hold’em. They also have freerolls, satellites and special events.
Interpoker Software Features
InterPoker’s software is slightly better than average, fast and stable. The graphics are not very attractive, but there is a voice option for the dealer which may be attractive to many.
It’s a better than the average room, but the dull visual interface brings down the experience quite a bit. However in terms of stability and functionality the software does a good job. Note taking, hand histories and the like are all available, and the lobby is very user friendly, with plenty of information about the tables and tourneys.
Unlimited multitabling is supported.
Interpoker Support
InterPoker offers support in English via telephone and email, but has no live chat option at the moment.
