Chili Poker Overview
Chili Poker is an iPoker site, which is a large online poker network operated by Playtech, a publicly traded company on the London Stock exchange. The iPoker Network is home to a few dozen rooms. The Chili Poker website was launched in 2004 and has been a part of iPoker since 2006. Chili Poker's objective is to "offer entertainment with our gaming products [and] guarantee safety and fair play, and at the same time offer protection for individuals who find themselves in difficulty." Not only do they provide a safe environment to play, but their bonuses are among the most attractive on the entire iPoker Network. Poker pros Liz Lieu and Fabrice Soulier call Chili Poker their home.
Even though the iPoker network does not allow U.S. players, poker rooms such as Fair Poker, Noble Poker and Bet Fred Poker are recuperating fast due to a high influx of European players.
Chili Poker Game Features
Due to the large network that Chili Poker is on, there are many different types of games offered, usually with plentiful action. The games offered include Limit Hold'em, No Limit and Pot Limit Hold'em, Limit and Pot Limit Omaha, Limit and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud. Games are usually running up to 30/60 for Limit Hold'em, although much of it is short handed at 5/10 and above. Games are available at almost all NL Hold'em tables, but action is rather sparse at Pot Limit Hold'em. Action for other games can be relatively infrequent except at the lower limits.
Beginners' tables are offered for new players who want to play against other new players. These are usually offered only to beginners for the first few months after signing up. New players may also play the regular tables that are open to everyone.
Players also have the option to play at "No DP" tables. No DP stands for "no disconnection protection." Some players prefer these tables because occasionally opponents will abuse the standard disconnection protection to avoid having to put additional money to see a showdown.
Chili Poker also offers a wide range of Sit-N-Gos and Multi Table Tournaments. The buy-ins for SNGs range from $0.10 all the way up to $1,000. The number of seats available at these SNGs is between 2 and 50, depending on the buy-in. Satellite, Beginners' and even Jackpot SNGs are also presented. As for MTTs, they have freerolls, qualifiers, guaranteed tournaments and special tournament events. Buy-ins for these events runs the spectrum from $1 to occasionally $1,000.
Chili Poker Software Features
Chili Poker offers a comprehensible lobby where players can easily sort the games that they are interested in. This includes a left navigation where players can choose the type of game and the limit they would like to play. Once players have selected the group of games they would like to view, they may organize lobby information by the number of players, avg. pot, percentage of players seeing flops and hands per hour. Many of these features are also available on other sites.
Players also have ability to choose their display settings to mini-view or full-screen, select a four color deck, view hand strength, and store hand histories locally, among other features.
