According to their website, Betway operates from Gibraltar under the Carmen Media Groups license and operations are under control and supervision of the Gibraltar Government. Carmen Media has been around since 2002. As stated, Betway is a site on the Microgaming Network, which we consider to be a "Medium" large room, by having more traffic than at least 60% of the current known rooms. Betway Poker Game Features
With Betway being on the Microgaming Network, they offer most of the same games the rest of the network does. Cash games offered include Limit Hold'em, No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Hold'em, 5 Card Draw, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud and 5 Card Stud along with a casino. As for availability of games, there are usually games available up to 2/4 for LHE, up to 1/2 for NLHE full and very plentiful games at all NLHE SH limits. All other games are infrequent or scarce except for occasional PL Omaha tables that run.
As for tournaments, the Microgaming Network and Betway offer plentiful Sit N Gos up to $50 and Multi table SNGs up to $20. Higher buy-ins are also available however they do not always run. Multi-table tournaments also run around the clock. Many of them are "guaranteed" tournaments in which a certain amount is guaranteed to be in the prize pool. Buy-ins for these tournaments can range from $1 to up to $100 or more for special tournaments. Satellites to special events such as the World Series of Poker and WPT are also common.
Betway Poker Software Features
Betway uses the Microgaming software, which has software that is attractive and efficient. Desirable features of the software include a 4 color deck and the ability to shrink the size of the tables you are playing on. The four color deck allows players to view the suites of the cards in 4 colors as opposed to the standard red and black. This prevents players from misreading their hand. With the "mini-view" feature players are able to play more tables than they would otherwise on their computer screen. In addition to that, Betway also offers standard features such as text history account of the table action that scrolls up the right side of the card room, text display of your hand rank, a chat window, statistics and note taking.
