Betsson Poker Overview
Betsson Poker is a part of the Ongame Network, which is the biggest in the world, thus giving any player of any skill level the opportunity to play against any level or table size they wish. Launching in May of 2002, Betsson was primarily sports book, but joined forces with Ongame in July of 2004. Betsson is certified by The Global Gambling and Gaming Group as a responsible gaming site. Betsson offers all of the more standard poker games such as Limit Hold'em, No Limit Hold'em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha, and Omaha Hi-Lo. Five card games are also offered all the way up to $20/40. NL stakes are as low as $.05/.10 and as high as $50/100. They also offer a separate Black Jack site. Like most other poker rooms, NL Hold’em is by far the most popular for this site, giving players an easy opportunity to get in the action.
Betsson offers Limit and No Limit Hold’em as well as Omaha tables with a min of 2 seats and max of 10. Seven Card Stud’s max seating is 8 players, while 5 card seats 5.
As for tournament action on Betsson, they offer the usual Freeroll, SNG, and Private tournaments. The most popular are the lower buy-in tournaments. SNG’s are offered both short handed, and heads up from $1 all the way up to $500, and seem to get a lot of action and fill up quick. Their SNG’s offer players the chance to go both short handed, and heads up.
Betsson Poker Software Features
Betsson’s Software offers some nice features to their players. In 2005, they launched Mobile Poker, making it possible to play against players of the network via mobile phone. Their lobby has a chat window embedded to allow players to interact with each other while searching for a room. The statistics options give the players a chance to open a Session Browser showing details about all the rooms the player has opened, as well as an option to show the player’s tournament stats.
The overall layout of the lobby looks average, but the tables bring a nice crisp look. The Options tab allows you to customize the Lobby, Table, Game play, Chat, and Players Notes with ease.
Betsson Poker Support
Betsson has a great Customer Service set up to handle calls, chat, and emails; with the turnaround on emails is an hour on average. There is an easy to find support button at the bottom of the poker room’s lobby that takes you to an informative customer service page with FAQ, Game Rules, and Contact information.
