Bamba Poker Overview
Bamba Poker is a poker room, sportsbook and casino licensed in Malta that uses 24hNetwork and NetEnt software, and it is part of the 24hPoker Network, which is small but good, with anything between 2 and 7,000 players online at any time.
Unlike many of the sites that stem off sportsbooks and casinos, the players here are up to a good standard. Ideal if you are serious about learning, as you will find good players to practice with and not just fish and maniacs.
Bamba Poker is available in English, Scandinavian languages, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Italian and German. At the moment it is not open to US players.
Even though the Entraction Network does not allow U.S. players, poker rooms such as Bamba Poker, Sense Poker and Asteria Poker are recuperating fast due to a high influx of European players.
Bamba Poker Game Features
Bamba Poker has a stunning variety of ring games, both traditional and more exotic: Hold’em, Omaha High and High-Low, 7 Card Stud High, Soko, 2 to 7 3-card draw, Americana and Telesina.
Hold’em Ring games are available from 0.02/0.04 Euro to 300/600 Euro, as No Limit and Fixed Limit, and in tables for 2, 6, 9 and 10 players. They are quite busy up to 3-6 Euro.
All Omaha games are classified together in one tab, but you can tell High and High-Low apart in the Limit column. Table sizes range from 2 to 8 players, in Limit and Pot Limit, and stakes range between 0.02/0.04 and 100/200 Euro. Action concentrates in the Pot Limit tables.
All Soko tables are for 8 players and Pot Limit, with stakes from 0.05 Euro to 5 Euro. The same applies to 7-card stud (which is also available in Fixed Limit), and both are practically unvisited off peak hours.
5-card and 3-card draw only come in 6-seat tables, 5-card in Pot Limit and 3-card in Limit, and stakes go from 0.10 Euro to 100 Euro. 5-card draw has some action, even off peak, at all levels of stakes.
Finally, Telesina and Americana cone in 4-seat and 6-seat tables, with stakes between 0.05 and 10 Euro, and as is to be expected are very quiet off peak.
Bamba Poker offers many tournaments in most game types, so if you ever fancied winning a 2-7 3-card draw tourney Bamba Poker may be the place for you. Most tourneys are Hold’em No Limit, but the offer is varied enough to ensure you find what you seek. Bamba Poker’s tourneys include special VIP tourneys, satellites and a good number of freerolls.
Sit & Go Tourneys are also abundant and varied, including Heads up, one-table tourneys for 6 and 10 players, and 20-player 2-table Sit & Gos. They are available for Omaha, 5-card draw and Hold’em, with buy-ins from 1 to 1,000 Euro. Blinds go up every 8 minutes, but if you want more action the Turbo tourneys go up every 5 minutes.
Bamba Poker Software Features
As mentioned above, Bamba Poker’s software is available in English, Scandinavian languages, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Italian and German.
Bamba Poker’s motto is “The easy way to play poker”, and they really make it easy for you to find your way around. The Lobby is among the most basic and streamlined ones I have seen, with a straightforward system of top tabs and a filter on the right side so you can find the perfect game in just a few clicks.
Room graphics are simple to the point of minimalism. If you like to concentrate on your game, you will like Bamba Poker, but if you need nice graphics, plants and avatars you will be better off elsewhere, as none of these are available here. There is only a light grey background, a pale blue table, and the players’ nicknames around it.
Dealer action is fast and smooth, and the sound is as minimal as the rest of the site design. Table info is minimal as well: a small chat window on the lower right and a small dealer info window on the left, neither of which have any options at the table – you have to go to the lobby to modify your chat preferences.
Right clicking on a player’s name will open a small window for note-taking as well as rating the player’s skill on a 1-5 scale. There is an option to find players, but no buddy list available.
Bamba Poker is open to multitabling, allowing you to play as many tables as your system allows. However, the Java-based technology is quite demanding, which will limit many players to 3-4 tables.
For such a straightforward site, the hand history is not very easy to access, and there are no stats available. Fortunately Bamba Poker is compatible with Poker Tracker for Omaha and Hold’em ring games.
Bamba Poker can also run directly in player’s browsers using Java technology – a fantastic feature for Mac and Linux users, as well as for those on the go who do not want to download the software.

Bamba Poker offers email support in several languages. Response times were not very impressive (around 2 hours), but responses were accurate and knowledgeable. Security and integrity at Bamba Poker are up to 24hPAY standards, and the Random Number generators are tested by third parties.
