Ace Off Spades is one of the Entraction sites, which are all carbon copies of each other and are operated from Malta by 24hPAY Ltd. AceOffSpades currently does not accept clients from Malta, the United States and a few other countries including Costa Rica, and the site’s official currency is the Euro
Traffic is acceptable, with upwards of 5000 players online at any given time.
Even though the Entraction Network does not allow U.S. players, poker rooms such as Ace Off Spades Poker, 66 Poker and 24h Poker(Entraction) are recuperating fast due to an influx of European players.
Ace off Spades Poker Game Features
Ace Off Spades Poker offers many poker game options to choose from at their site, from the classics such as Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo (8 or better), Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo (8 or better) and Five Card Draw to the more exotic Soko, Deuce to Seven Triple Draw, Americana, and Telesina. The minimum stakes for Texas Hold’em and Omaha are €0.02/0.05 (about $0.03/$0.07) and blinds go up all the way to €750/€1500 (about $1000/$2000). Ring games can be played heads up, in short-handed 6-seat tables or in full size 10-seat tables.
Sit & Gos are only available for Hold’em, Omaha and 5 Card Draw, with the vast majority being Hold’em. Buy ins start at €1 (about $1.30) and go up to €1000 (about $1300.) Blinds go up every 8 minutes in regular Sit & Gos, and every 5 minutes in the Turbo ones.
Ace Off Spades offers tourneys in all of their poker varieties, with buy-ins ranging between €0.25 (about $0.35) and €200 (about $290). Some of the tourney options are rebuy, freezeout, short-handed and turbo, as well as the Wild West, which has unlimited rebuys and starts as turbo but then becomes regular.
Ace off Spades Poker Software Features
Ace Off Spades has the same software and look as most Entraction sites: sleek, minimalistic graphics, no avatars, minimal customization options and lots of small text in the lobby. There are options to find players and make player notes, and the hand history can be streamed into a file for later revision.
The lobby has a filtering option which is especially useful when trying to find a tourney since they are all bundled together under a few tabs.
A very attractive feature is the Java-based web client, which allows Mac and Linux users (as well as those away from their computer) to play.
Ace off Spades Poker Support
Support is not Ace off Spades’ strongest point. The FAQ is extensive but not comprehensive, and it is not organized in any way – you will have to scroll to find what you’re looking for. The only other way you can access support is via email, so if you are a poker player who needs support on the hoof, this is probably not the site for you. The only customer care service that they offer is one email address (support@aceoffspades.com) that is so hard to find we thought it best to include it here. There is also an email form on the FAQ page. Email support sends an immediate confirmation mail, followed up by a reasonably swift and accurate response.
